Round 6 of the SuperEnduro World Championship in Newcastle, UK, was full of excitement, but the biggest story of the night was Billy Bolt securing his fifth world championship title! And he did it in style, in front of his home crowd at the Utilita Arena by the Tyne River.
From practice to timed qualifying, Bolt was the fastest rider on the track. With two dominant moto wins and three extra points from Superpole, he mathematically sealed the championship ahead of Jonny Walker and the Brightmore brothers.
A Bolt Masterclass
Billy Bolt made it look easy in the first race. Leading from start to finish, he completely dominated, even lapping up to fifth place! Mitch Brightmore tried to put some pressure on him, but Bolt was simply too strong.
Behind him, Mitch secured second place, while Ash Brightmore took advantage of Jonny Walker’s mistakes to grab third.
Walker’s Challenge, But Bolt Strikes Again
Race two started with Dan Mundell taking the holeshot, but Jonny Walker quickly moved up to take the lead. Bolt soon joined him at the front, and the two stretched a gap from the rest.
Both riders made small mistakes halfway through the race, trading the lead a few times. But when it mattered most, Billy took control again and won—securing his fifth world title in the process!
Walker finished second, while Ash Brightmore beat his brother for third place.
Best Race of the Season!
The final moto was pure chaos—a four-way battle for the lead! Jonny Walker, Billy Bolt, and the Brightmore brothers were fighting hard, blocking, making mistakes, and pushing to the limit.
Walker briefly led, but Ash Brightmore saw an opportunity and took over. However, Bolt wasn’t done yet. In a breathtaking final few laps, he made his move and won all three motos of the night!
Walker finished second overall, while Mitch Brightmore secured third place on a tie-break over his brother.
