Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia has claimed the overall victory at the 2024 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE)! Competing on home soil in Spain aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F, Garcia dominated five out of the six race days and secured his fourth consecutive outright ISDE victory with a flawless ride in Saturday’s final motocross.
Unlike the hot and dusty conditions in Argentina last year, this year’s ISDE in Galicia was a mud-fest from start to finish. Heavy rain soaked the tracks even before the event began. But Garcia didn’t let that slow him down, setting the fastest time on day one and leaving his closest rival, Steve Holcombe, nine seconds behind. The battle continued on day two, but Josep kept his lead intact.
From day three onwards, Garcia turned up the heat, building a massive lead before heading into the final motocross. Despite the heavy rain on Saturday, Garcia handled the mud like a pro, securing the win and writing his name in the history books!
Josep Garcia’s Thoughts:
“I can’t believe it! To take the win here in Spain and stand on the podium with my team is a dream come true. It’s been a really tough week of racing with rain and mud every single day, but the team did a fantastic job, so huge thanks to them. Winning four in a row and adding this to my EnduroGP title makes it the perfect season. Now it’s time to celebrate!”
